La peli de Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu Birdman ha conseguido terminar la temporada de premios tras una larga noche en el Kodak Theatre, donde se ha coronado con las estatuillas a Mejor Peli, Mejor Director (Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu), Mejor Cinematografía (Emmanuel Lubezki)y Mejor Guión Original. Boyhood fue su máxima competidora, pero solo terminó con un Oscar que fue a parar a Patricia Arquette como Mejor Actriz de Reparto.

En las categorías de actuación no hubo mucha novedad. Eddie Redmayne se hizó con el de Mejor Actor por La Teoría del Todo, Julianne Moore ganó a la Mejor Actriz con Still Alice, y J.K. Simmons ganó la estatuilla al Mejor Actor de Reparto por Whiplash.

La gran sorpresa la dió Big Hero 6 ganando la Mejor Peli Animada por encima de Como Entrenar a Tu Dragón. En Mejor Edición ganó Whiplash cuando las favoritas eran Boyhood; y Alexandre Desplatfinalmente obtuvo su Oscar por la banda sonora de The Grand Budapest Hotel, batiendo a la música creada por Johann Johannson para La Teoría del Todo.

Parece que el ambiente de los Oscars cada vez es más raruno. La ceremonia se sintió algo larga, hecho que no hace más que confirmar que los actuales productores de la gala deberían pasarse a otras cosas porque cada vez es peor. En cuanto al presentador, Neil Patrick Harris, el material que le dieron no era suficientemente bueno y lo ‘malgastaron’. Podría haber sido mejor que con Ellen el año pasado.
